Ciara Is BACK… and Kristian Alfonso Gives Us The Dirt!!!

Ciara comes zooming back into Salem, this week (think daddy Bo’s favorite means of transportation) so what can Days of our Lives viewers expect?

According to her TV mom, Kristian Alfonso (Hope), she’s everything viewers have been waiting for and more.

Get Ready to Gasp
“She’s great… fiery and feisty,” says Alfonso. “A firecracker Bo and Hope’s daughter.”

Suffice it to say that Alfonso has high hopes for Konafel. “I told her, I want the audience, when they first see you, to fall in love with you, because you’re my daughter,” recounts Alfonso. “And she’s so talented and so beautiful. When Victoria airs, I want everybody to gasp and be like, ‘Oh my gosh! That is Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope’s daughter.’”

The Perfect Fit
Alfonso was part of the recasting process, reading with the actresses eager to take on the role of the Salem supercouple’s little girl. The character was last played by Vivian Jovanni, who was written off the soap last May.

“There were so many girls testing that were excellent,” notes Alfonso. “But Victoria really made this character her own. She brought her own nuances and strengths. She has a feistiness and fire about her. She’s a good girl… a smart girl.”

Fitting In
Alfonso, who started on DAYS when she was just a teenager herself, knows what it’s like being the new kid on the block. That’s why she’s always there to do what she can to help young newcomers feel comfortable and acclimate to the soap opera medium.

“What I tell them is what I told Victoria,” shares Alfonso. “We were sitting in my dressing room and I said, ‘Before we start rehearsing, I just want to say that you are welcome. And whenever you need something or have questions about anything, no matter how small or minuscule it is, please find me.

“I’m there for you. If you want to run lies, I’m here. Whatever you need, I’m here. Because I’m part of your team, and I am rooting for you.’”

Prep Time
Alfonso also gave Konafel a cliff notes rundown of Ciara’s past; particularly her relationship with her mom, Hope.

“I told her that Hope and Ciara are very close,” Alfonso recounts. “I ran through the history of things that they have gone through together.”

Alfonso envisions Konafel effortlessly fitting in as the new Ciara, noting that her portrayal embodies so many qualities of Bo and Hope.

“She has strength. She has vulnerability. She has stubbornness. She has a fire in her belly,” explains Alfonso. “And she has loyalty, loyalty to family. Those are all qualities that I believe Bo and Hope both had.”

Victoria Konafel certainly sounds like a perfect fit.
