Home Run: Should Carrie Stay on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) For Good?

Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) viewers first met Carrie Brady as a forward 4-year-old, who walked up to total stranger Roman (then-Wayne Northrop) to announce, “You’re my daddy, and I love you.”

Okey-dokey. Roman didn’t know Carrie existed. He thought a pregnant Anna (Leanne Hunley) had drowned. Eventually, Roman grew to love Carrie, too. Even though for the bulk of her childhood, John (Drake Hogysten) was the guy she called Dad.

Fans watched Carrie grow up from a preteen – who had an unexpected growth spurt – then mysteriously reverted. They watched Carrie (Christie Clark) with Austin, with Mike, and then with Austin again. And now they get to see her as the legal eagle trying to get Anna out of trouble. Again.

But should Roman’s (Josh Taylor) daughter stick around for the long haul? Here’s what over 10,000 voters said:

You’ve missed Carrie. And the canvas could use a heroine in her age range. Not to mention a good lawyer. Carrie may get Anna off, but then Gabi (Camilla Banus) could use her help. (Is Justin really getting the job done?)

And when Gabi is acquitted, surely someone else will end up on the hook. That’s a lot of billable hours, Carrie. Think about it…. Besides, you’ve got that wedding invitation from Hope (Kristian Alfonso). It won’t be all work and no play.

Keep Away
It was pretty tight, as 48% of the audience has no interest in seeing more of Carrie. She’s always been kind of blah–more of a foil for Sami (Allison Sweeney), than an interesting character in her own right. Without someone nasty to tangle with, Carrie’s most boring flaws are front and center.

She can help out her mom. And then she can go back to Austin and Noah. The three of them can all be boring together.
