It’s not like we actually thought for long that the Days of Our Lives (DOOL) episode we saw today was actually real – except maybe real campy. So that made going along for the ride fun instead of a horror show. Here’s what we enjoyed the most.
After rolling our eyes that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) could actually escape again, he immediately managed to break into the hospital and resurrect Dr. Rolf (Will Utay). Now, how would Ben know where the bad doc keeps his stash of back-from-the-dead syringes anyway, right? Who even cares? It set off all the fun!
Back With a Grudge
First, we got butt-kicking Serena (Melissa Archer), who was much more fun and dangerous this go-around as she sought out Chad (Billy Flynn) to make him pay for being the reason she died. Archer had delicious fun as she got to knee Chad and then whack him dead while Abby cried. Boo hoo!
Paige (True O’Brien) shocked the heck out of a guilt-ridden JJ (Casey Moss) and then she grabbed a pitchfork when she realized he was cheating on her dead self with Lani (Sal Stowers). She used that pitchfork to kill Lani. When JJ couldn’t understand who she was, she suggested he just call her Eve then. Bwahahaha.
Beam Her Up, Rolfy
But, perhaps the most hilarious moment came when the resurrected Dr. Rolf spoke into his watch to “activate satellite” – and suddenly Hope (Kristian Alfonso) fainted and became Princess Gina! She had to kill Rafe (Galen Gering) with a kiss (probably giving a cheap thrill to the anti-Rope folks). Guilt brought Hope back.
So, who was the one who must have been smoking something good to have this particular nightmare (besides the writers)? It was all the result of Abigail (Marci Miller) having read Jane Eyre before going to bed!
That’s right, folks – don’t read – you could end up killing off half your town. Better to just watch your favorite soap!
