Showing Off His Acting Chops
Daytime dramas are a family business for Northrop (Liam). It’s no secret his father is the late, great DAYS alum Wayne Northrop (Roman), and his mother is General Hospital icon Lynn Herring (Lucy).
However, Northrop recently stepped into a different world with an appearance on Taylor Sheridan’s new Paramount+ series The Madison. The show stars Michelle Pfeiffer (Stacy), Kurt Russell (Preston), Matthew Fox (Paul), and Patrick J. Adams (Russell).
The DAYS star isn’t in the entire series, but shows up in episode 6, which is the final episode of the season. Northrop teased his appearance during an interview with The Locher Room, where he listed some of the stars and revealed the show is not the Yellowstone spin-off Rip and Beth.
“Taylor Sheridan is a genius. He’s got so many different spin-offs happening. This one is about a suburban New York family, where a tragedy happens, and they have to relocate to, like, rural Montana, Yellowstone style. It’s all about that family’s story,” he explained.
Northrop praised The Madison, especially the cast, which we can all agree is phenomenal. He didn’t just speak about it in the interview either.
Once his episode dropped on Paramount+, Northrop used Instagram to make an official announcement about his brief stint on The Madison without giving away any spoilers.
“I am so honored to officially enter the Taylor Sheridan universe today!” Northrop wrote in his caption, then directed fans to where to watch The Madison and which episode he was in.
The actor also gave a huge shout-out to the powers that be for allowing him “to be a small part of such an amazing show!”
Northrop’s The Madison appearance comes as his storyline on DAYS heats up. Ari (Marissa Reyes, who celebrated her wrap on DAYS) and Liam are growing closer after she helped him following Klaus (Bassel Alzaro) trying to kill him.
Liam also finds himself working with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) after the latter learned about Liam’s involvement in the DiMera kidnappings.
