They’re bad and they’re mad (mostly because they’re sad) on Days of our Lives. We’re talking about Gwen and Xander. She just lost her baby, he just lost the love of his life. Could these two misguided lost souls find solace in each other? What over 4,000 Salem voters told us:
Days of our Lives Polling: Better Than You
Xander (Paul Telfer) may be a kidnapper and a killer, but 58% of the audience still thinks he’s too good for Gwen. (Which is a pretty damning indictment of the English lass.) Xander matured, changed, and reformed due to his love for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). He actually decided to be a better man, not just faked it for sympathy.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien), on the other hand, hasn’t convinced most of you that she is sincerely looking to improve. You think her apology tour to Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Chad (Billy Flynn) is just more manipulation. And Xander would be better off keeping his distance. (After all, Sarah could still find her way home….)
Perfect Fit
A smaller 40% of the fans, on the other hand, see a perfect match. They can both ditch the goody-goody personas that never quite fit on them and become the people they were always meant to be. Bad people. Who join forces to become worse. And take down anyone who ever did them wrong, or dared get in their selfish way(s).
Misunderstood
Only 2% believe that Gwen is the one who could do better than Xander. She needs to be loved and encouraged in her best qualities, not her baser instincts. Look how she blooms under Jack’s attention.
Xander will make it so her family never accepts her, and she needs their love more than she needs his. Chad is free now that Abigail (Marci Miller) has flown the coop. Focus there, Gwen. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
