Did you know that a “Days of Our Lives” star had to retire from a budding dance career due to several injuries? Well, here are your choices: Martha Madison, Sal Stowers, Kate Mansi. Do you think you know which starlet it is? If not, read on to find out the answer.
First, we have Sal Stowers. Many fans know she has an extensive career in modeling. In fact, Stowers close relationship with supermodel Tyra Banks caused a controversy over her eligibility to participate in “America’s Next Top Model”. Contestants for that show must not have modeled in a national ad campaign in the five years prior to coming onto ANTM.
However, a few years prior to ANTM, Stowers was part of a Wendy’s ad, and many questions were raised about why she was still able to participate. ANTM judges stated her Wendy’s appearance didn’t amount to actual modeling. There are still some who believe Stower’s more personal relationship with Banks prior to her appearance on ANTM was what got her onto the show. But, let’s answer the original question. No, Stowers was not the one who’s dance career ended due to injuries.
Secondly, we have the charismatic Kate Mansi. This actress has had a passion for dance since she was a small child. At the age of 15, she joined the Pacific Festival Ballet and has performed in the “Nutcracker”, “Bambi”, and “Heaven and Hell” amongst other productions. But, Mansi’s love for dance was diminished by her love for acting because she was not the one to trade dance for acting due to injuries.

Finally, that leaves Martha Madison. Yes, it was Madison whose dance career ended due to multiple injuries. In 1999, she was he Captain of the Texas A&M Dance Team. She also attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, and for two years, she danced with the Peyari Dance Project. But, she had to hang up her dancing shoes after suffering several injuries. Madison has since taken up acting, with a career that started in 2001 when she landed a small role in “Kate & Leopold”.
