After leaving Days of Our Lives this past winter when Eric was carted off to prison after killing Dr. Dan in a drunk driving accident, Greg Vaughan will be back on your Salem screens this winter.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Vaughan begins airing on January 17, 2017.
Vaughan has kept himself busy while away from DAYS on the OWN Network’s Queen Sugar, which has already been picked up for a second season. However, he welcomes his return to DAYS.
“After coming toward the completion of Queen Sugar, I had the opportunity to speak with the executives and head writers at Days of our Lives,” Vaughan said in a statement. “I’ve always been proud of my time and the work I contributed to DAYS, and I was excited at the opportunity to reunite with the cast and crew. I feel my job as an actor is about more than just stepping on stage and taking a role. I’m trying to create a presence that resonates for myself and the core of Eric Brady. I feel Eric’s journey will have a huge and impactful return!”
Does this mean Eric will be released from prison early? Roman (Josh Taylor) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) will certainly be thrilled if so. Perhaps Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will also be thrilled and get a love life, as she and Eric started quite a relationship before he left for prison.
