Ben doesn’t have a lot of folks in his corner on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL).
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) seems willing to help him. But not if Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) have anything to say about it.
His sister, Jordan (Chrishell Hartley), is returning to Salem. But it’s not like she holds a lot of sway in this Horton/Brady/Kiriakis/DiMera-dominant town.
Marlena (Deidre Hall), on the other hand, is beloved by all… even those she “killed” once. She is also a medical professional who believes Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) has been reformed and should be allowed back into society. She’s really Ben’s only shot at redemption.

Befriending Ben would be totally like Marlena, 83% of you assert. She’s always been one to champion an underdog.
Remember when Gene (John DeLancie) was a mentally unhinged, violent sociopath suspected of being The Salem Strangler – before he became lovably wacky and stood up for Marlena at her wedding and had baby Sami named after him? Marlena was his only friend then.

Hey, remember when Ben tried to kill Marlena? Because 16% of the audience sure does! They also remember him strangling her grandson. OK, Will (Chandler Massey) came back from the dead – but it was no thanks to Ben!
Marlena has many reasons to hold a grudge. And even more reasons not to start weaving friendship bracelets. Ben is her patient. You’re not supposed to befriend him, you’re supposed to keep an objective distance.
Also, he tried to kill her.
