Things are heating up for Gabigail on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), and she thinks SHE deserves to be out and free to love the man she wants.
Actress Marci Miller recently spoke with TV Insider and gave insight into the part of Abigail that longs to be like Gabi (Camila Banus) and why she chose her best friend to model her other personality after, whether she realizes it or not.
“There are certain character traits that Abigail feels Gabi possesses like being no bulls**t, very strong, powerful, unapologetic about who she is and what needs to be done,” she says.
“In the moment that Abigail kills Andre, which is the reason for the break in the first place, those are the character traits that she needs just to survive.”
Abigail had loved Andre (Thaao Penghlis), so while the audience knows that she supposedly killed him and couldn’t cope with what she did, we still don’t know why she did it.
In the meantime, Gabigail is out and looking to stay that way. She even attacked Marlena (Deidre Hall) to make sure she could stay out.
Marlena was threatening to tell Chad (Billy Flynn) everything, and he would have insisted on getting Abigail the mental help she so obviously needs.

But, that help would have included trying to integrate the different personalities — which would have killed life as she currently knows it for Gabigail. A life that includes Stefan (Tyler Christopher).
“As things begin to unravel for the Gabby character, Stefan is there and as they spend more time together, [the couple] actually becomes a little more of an actual real-life grounded relationship between two people.
“It’s so odd because it’s one of Abigail’s alters, but from Gabby’s perspective, she believes herself to be a whole person, and starts to fall for this guy.”
What does all of this mean for Marlena, who stands in the way of Gabigail living the dream life? Well, as the week progresses, things are looking pretty grim for the good doc.
