How much is that puppy in the window? Forget that – former Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Kate Mansi feels the best dog breed is rescued – and she plans do just that.
Mansi (ex-Abby) has been visiting her grandmother with her own dog, Leighla, and has enjoyed watching her face light up when in the presence of the pup. So much so, it has given Mansi an idea for the best Christmas present ever!
The Emmy Award-winning actress plans to adopt a dog named Benny from Bark n’ Bitches. They bill themselves as the greatest Humane Petshop ever as they have both rescue dogs and merchandise available.
She shared a picture of the soon-to-be addition to the family on her Instagram account (see below). Mansi recommended we all stay tuned because she’ll share pictures after delivering this precious gift.
Mansi knows that the pet will be welcomed, but people should be wary of giving pets as Christmas gifts.
That’s because December 26 is one of the busiest days of the year at shelters, due to the fact that the gifts aren’t always welcomed and are often returned. If you want to give a pet as a gift, just make sure you’re prepared to give it a home should the idea not go over well.
