Five Fast Facts About Days of Our Lives Star Camila Banus

Camila Banus is best known for playing Gabi Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, a role that has endeared her to fans for several years now. While she’s been busy with her character on DAYS, Banus has also been working hard on a number of other projects.

Though she’s very focused on her career, Banus has a strong support system thanks to her family and close friends. From her very first TV role to her strange obsession, here are five fast facts about the Days of Our Lives actress.

In The Beginning
Banus was born on July 22 and was raised in Miami Beach, Florida. Her parents are Carmen and Jaime Banus and she is the older sister of Gabriela Banus, who is also an actress. She started acting when she was a teenager.

First TV Role
Prior to getting her first soap role on One Life to Live in 2008, Banus made her first television appearance on the show Dexter back in 2006. Before working in television, Banus appeared in a number of commercials.

Strange Obsession
Banus has revealed that she’s obsessed with murder shows and the ID network. She is most interested in the shows Twister Sisters and Someone You Thought You Knew, which is about unsuspected people committing crimes.

Balancing Act
Banus was cast on the Fox show Star in 2018 as Nina Ferrera. Fans were concerned she would leave DAYS, but she was able to do both shows at the same time. Needless to say, it was a busy time for the gorgeous actress as she was flying back and forth between L.A. and Atlanta. Sadly, Star was cancelled at the end of the season.

Getting Personal
Banus doesn’t share a lot about her personal life with the public, but we do know she’s been with her boyfriend, Marlon Aquino, since 2012.
