Billy Flynn currently stars as Chad DiMera on Days of Our Lives, which just so happens to be his first series regular role! In fact, when Flynn was cast on DAYS back in 2014, he had only ever acted on one episode of television prior.
While he’s still quite new to acting, Flynn has been interested in performing since he was a little boy growing up in the midwest. From his first onscreen job to the co-star he had a crush on, here are five fast facts about Days of Our Lives star, Billy Flynn!
In The Beginning
Flynn was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was first introduced to movies thanks to his great-grandmother, who showed him The Sound of Music at a young age. Flynn decided to attend St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and he graduated with a degree in finance. He worked as a financial analyst for two years before moving to Los Angeles.
First Gig
After making the Hollywood move, Flynn worked as an analyst at Warner Bros. Studios for four years. Before making his official acting debut, Flynn’s first job on-screen was in a Taco Bell commercial that aired back in 2013!
Worked Opposite This Star
Following the Taco Bell commercial, Flynn got his first television gig on the show CBS show Hawaii Five-O. Flynn was cast as Nick Spitz back in 2014 and actually got to act alongside Academy Award-nominee Melanie Griffith! How’s that for a first television show appearance?!
Crush On A Co-Star
Flynn auditioned for his role as Chad DiMera shortly after his time on Hawaii Five-O and had to compete against hundreds of other actors. At the time he actually had a crush on Days of Our Lives star Alison Sweeney, who ended up becoming his co-star once he got the job!
Getting Personal
Flynn started dating his now-wife, actress Gina Comparetto, when he was a struggling actor. The couple became engaged on May 29, 2015, which just so happened to be his 30th birthday.
They then tied the knot on October 1, 2016. Though they don’t have any kids, they do have two cats — one named Regan and the other named Bill Purray (named after Bill Murray, of course). Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
