Brandon Barash In The Beginning…

Barash was born on October 4 in St. Louis, MO. He is the son of Jerry Barash and Susan Gale, and also has two siblings, a brother named Jordan and a sister named Alison. Growing up, Barash lived in Missouri, Texas, and California. He graduated from high school in Houston, Texas.

Real-Life High School Musical

Much like Troy Bolton in the Disney movie High School Musical, Barash had a dream of playing college basketball, but his high school girlfriend got him an audition for the school’s musical. Barash ended up falling in love with performing and attended the University of Southern California, which is where he got his BFA degree in acting.

Gilmore Girls Alum

Barash appeared on the very popular ABC family show, Gilmore Girls. He played Paris Geller’s boyfriend, Jamie, in a recurring role. Paris and Jamie met while at a leadership camp in Washington D.C. and started dating.

Rock Out

Barash plays in the rock group Port Chuck with a few of his former General Hospital co-stars Steven Burton, Scott Reeves, and Bradford Anderson. The group goes on tour and plays shows across the country.

Getting Personal

Barash was engaged to actress Natalie Hall in 2011, but their relationship ended shortly thereafter. He then married former General Hospital co-star Kirsten Storms in 2013 and they welcomed their daughter, Harper, in 2014. Barash and Storms announced their divorce in 2016.
