Five Fast Facts About Days of Our Lives Star Victoria Konefal

Having watched Ciara Brady grow up onscreen (helped along by a touch of SORASing) fans feel like they know the character. However, some may not as knowledgeable about the talented young woman who has played her since 2017. So in the spirit of education, here are five fast facts about Victoria Konefal.

Acting Bug
Konefal made the decision to become an actor at the ripe old age of seven. A school field trip to an off-Broadway theater’s production of The Hobbit solidified her passion for performing and she told her mother, “I want to do that.”

Polish Princess
In an effort to get closer to her Polish roots, Konefal entered the Miss Poland USA beauty contest and found herself crowned the winner! She had her own float during the Polish Day Parade held in New York City and during her reign, she strived to bring awareness to the Polish Veterans Society.

Champion
Sometimes a budding actor needs the help of a more established star to help them get a leg up in the business. And Konefal found a big champion in former soap queen Lesli Kay.

The two worked together on a Lifetime thriller titled The Wrong Crush and during filming, Kay asked her young co-star if she ever considered working in daytime. When Konefal expressed interest, Kay made some calls and tried to wrangle up some auditions.

Perseverance
The process that Konefal went through to land the role of Ciara was laborious, to say the least. She auditioned SEVEN times before qualifying for a final round of auditions and then a “final” final screen test.

All In The Family
Although Konefal wasn’t familiar with the NBC soap her mother was a superfan. In fact, Momma Konefal, who was a Polish immigrant, learned to speak English from watching Days of Our Lives every day for three years. Days of Our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
