Bryan Dattilo is best known for playing Lucas Horton on Days of Our Lives, but the actor has appeared on shows such as CSI: NY, Doogie Howser, M.D., and Saved by the Bell.
Though Dattilo wasn’t born in Los Angeles, he did start working in Hollywood when he was quite young. From his first role to his interesting A-list star interactions, here are five fast facts about the Days of Our Lives actor.
In The Beginning
Dattilo was born on July 29 in Kankakee, Illinois and grew up with one brother, Brent, a sister, Kristin, and three half-sisters, Tiffany, Anna, and Tess. However, he ended up moving to West Palm Beach, Florida after his parents got divorced when he was little and then moved to Los Angeles.
Started Young
After moving to Los Angeles, Dattilo and his sister Kristin started taking acting classes when he was 9. Shortly after beginning the lessons, he landed his first acting job on the HBO show Not Necessarily the News.
A-List Interactions
Dattilo has had a couple of funny interactions with major A-list stars over the years. One time William Shatner tweeted out a picture of Dattilo’s face superimposed onto Wonder Woman’s body and dubbed him “Wonder Man.” He had another interesting interaction when he ran into Clint Eastwood leaving a restaurant, ran up to him and said “Go ahead, make my day,” and then ran away!
Special Skills
Along with being an actor, Dattilo makes time to follow his other passions. In fact, he is a black belt in Karate and Taekwondo. He also enjoys surfing and playing sports.
Getting Personal
Dattilo married Jessica Denay in 1999, but the couple split in 2001. They have a son together named Gabriel who has high-functioning autism. Dattilo then married Elizabeth Cameron in 2011 and they have a daughter together named Delilah who was born in 2014. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
