Five Fast Facts About Days of Our Lives’ Sal Stowers

Sal Stowers has had quite the up and down relationship with NBC’s Days of Our Lives over the past four years. You can learn about that and much more below with five fast facts about this talented younger actress.

“Two Beautiful Ladies Stand Before Me…”
In 2008, Stowers participated in and won, the 10th Cycle of the reality competition series America’s Next Top Model. Among the many prizes was a modeling contract with Elite Model Management and a fashion spread and cover in Seventeen.

First Run Blues
Stowers was admittedly excited to begin work on Days of Our Lives but soon found herself stymied by a poorly realized part. She had chemistry tested opposite Galen Gering but upon being hired their characters barely interacted. And even after Lani was revealed to be Abe Carver’s daughter, Stowers still found herself in storyline limbo.

Familiar Territory
It’s certainly not unheard of for competing soap operas to share very familiar stories. However, it is unusual for the same actress to play out the same scenario twice. On both All My Children and Days of Our Lives, Stowers played characters who found themselves held hostage by sex traffickers and forced to ingest narcotics.

A Bad News/Good News Situation
Stowers, who debuted on DAYS in September of 2015, was fired in March of the next year. Five months later Stowers received a text from casting director Marnie Saitta informing her she was wanted back by the Powers That Be. The timing, however, was a bit awkward for the actress who had just broken her kneecap in a household accident.

BFF
Although Stowers now spends most of her downtime with co-stars Lamon Archey and Casey Moss, she admits that she still misses her best girlfriend Marci Miller.
