Get ready to say goodbye to Salem’s Nicole Walker. Arianne Zucker has announced she’s leaving Days of Our Lives, when her contract expires in April.
The actress has played Nicole since 1998, albeit she did take a two year break from the soap in 2006. During her tenure, she’s become one of the show’s most popular leading ladies. How do Days fans feel about the fact that she’s opted to exit the show, again? Over 15,000 fans weighed in, and let’s just say Zucker should be feeling the love.
You Hate It
Salem without Zucker and Nicole is too much for 92% of you to bear. You hate the idea and will miss her dearly. Nicole has long been your favorite DAYS character. You loved her when she was manipulative and causing trouble during her early years on the soap, and you came to adore her emergence as a heroine in her latter years. The show just won’t be the same without her.

Some 6% of you think Zucker should be free to go, if she wants to. You understand her desire to spread her wings and fly. She’s a gifted actress, and she deserves the chance to try her hand at primetime or film. You could totally see her making the crossover. She certainly has the talent to do it.
Just Don’t Know
The remaining 2% of you are still in shock and just don’t know what to make of the news. Because of DAYS’ advanced taping schedule, you realize Zucker will be on the soap for many months to come.
