Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) weren’t planning on having children so soon after getting married, but when she became unexpectedly pregnant, they decided to be excited about the new little DiMera (rather than terrified, which is the normal response to any new DiMera, no matter their size.. just look at Rachel [Finley Rose Slater]).

Chanel ended up miscarrying that baby — for which radiated Paulina (Jackée Harry) was absolutely not responsible! She and Johnny decided to try again. But Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) had some bad news for her.

Support Your Local Mom To Be

Chanel is undergoing a procedure that will reveal how soon she’ll be able to get pregnant, and she has Paulina right by her side, offering support.

Meanwhile, Johnny confides in Grandma Marlena (Deidre Hall) about their hopes for the future. If they can’t have a biological child, then why not adopt one? If only there were some teenager wandering about town, looking for parents for her unborn child.

In a Family Way

Oh, wait, there is! It’s Sophia (Rachel Boyd). She really doesn’t want to be a mom in the next few months. So if Chanel and Johnny would like to step up.

Unfortunately, her own mom isn’t feeling Sophia’s adoption plan. Amy (Shi Ne Nielson) decided that Sophia and Tate (Leo Howard) will get married and raise their child in a happy family. Which is likely what leads to Sophia’s latest lie.

But, remember, the true victim here is Holly (Ashley Puzemis), who goes running to Grandma Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) to lament the latest trauma facing…her.

True Lies

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) still wants to know who stole her Grandma Alice’s (Frances Reid) necklace. Doug (Peyten Meyer) knows. But he isn’t telling. Though he is making very sympathetic faces. Let’s see how long that lasts.
