After a tragic loss more than two years ago, Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Farah Fath now shares wonderful news.
Fath and husband, Phil Galfond, are expecting a baby! She shared the news in a poignant post to Instagram in which the actress opened up about the loss of her their first pregnancy.
“2.5 years ago, Phil & I lost our first baby at almost 13 weeks, we were thisclose to announcing just like we are today. We took a little time to recover, live our lives, have some fun, & accomplish some goals. Once we got back in the saddle, getting pregnant again seemed to keep not happening.”
Luckily, the two, who married on May 15, 2015, didn’t give up hope. They kept trying to get pregnant again.
“But at last, we have found ourselves blessed with what the internet calls, our ‘rainbow baby’. I think it’s fitting because to me, rainbows are one of nature’s most beautiful occurrences.” A “rainbow baby” is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.
“So even though our road to becoming parents was slightly bumpy (some women have it SO much worse!), we never once felt sorry for ourselves. Instead, we continued to feel extremely blessed no matter our destiny.” That is because the couple always knew that it was their love that was most important.

“But now that I know we are in fact meant to be Mom & Dad, I’m mostly just excited because I’m on this adventure with my BFF❤.” The actress then promised that her next post would be about the tough time she had with her first trimester.
While Fath’s return to DAYS is rumored to be a short one, if it gets extended, writing in her pregnancy could make things very interesting in Salem!
