While we learned in May that Farah Fath Galfond would be returning to Days of Our Lives, we weren’t sure when we’d see Mimi… until now!
The actress was first cast on the show back in 2000 and her stay in Salem lasted until 2007. Now, she’s make a comeback, and according to Galfond, Mimi will first be seen on October 5.
She spilled the news on Twitter, in response to an account that shares what happened on DAYS on that same day from a different year. In this case, they said, “#OnThisDay in 1999, Farah Fath assumed the role of Mimi Lockhart #Days”
The adorable star responded, “And on October 5th, 2018, she will reassume the role 👊🏼 #mimireturns #DaysofOurLives”
While that’s still a few weeks away, Mimi’s mother, Bonnie (Judi Evans), is front and center in Salem at the moment… or at least at the Salem Police Department where she’s being held for her part in taking over Adrienne’s life and leaving her to rot in prison.
Bonnie claims to have had a baby by Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), conceived when she was pretending to be Adrienne. Bonnie hopes this will motivate Lucas to help her by asking Adrienne to drop the charges.
Fans have speculated that she may have “borrowed” her daughter Mimi’s baby but time will tell how that will turn out.
This week, Lucas gets the results from a DNA test on baby Bonnie. But this is Salem and a soap opera, so DNA results can never be trusted.
Considering Bonnie’s former jailbird pal Sheila (Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins) is still free and on the outside, she could certainly change the paternity results. Perhaps Gabi could give her pointers.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
