Young love is a staple of daytime drama, and Days of Our Lives was a trendsetter in the 1980s with Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and in the 1990s with Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer), not to mention dozens of others.
So which couple do you think has what it takes to join the Salem Supercouple Pantheon? Almost 4,000 romantics weighed in!
Three For the Price of Two
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Katei Mansi) are the clear-cut winners with 49% of the audience pining for their reunion. (Even if she still periodically turns into Gabby.)
They’ve been through the wringer together, share two children (even if they don’t know it), and have even survived a recast – twice! If that’s not love, what is?
So Good They’re CINful
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konafel) have a lot more to overcome than a measly split personality. There’s the fact that Ben is a serial killer. Though he’s feeling much more peaceful these days. But 31% of you still want them to be together. CIN never felt so good!
Love the One You’re With
Sonny (Freddie Smith) may have just married Leo (Greg Rikaart) – under the duress known as blackmail – but 12% still want him with Will (Chandler Massey).
They also survived a there-and-back recast, not to mention Will coming back from the dead with amnesia. They are currently Salem’s soapiest couple, and you wouldn’t have it any other way!
Lali Gagging
Only a very tiny 6% voted for Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers). Maybe it’s because their combined names aren’t so great. Lali? Elani? Lanili?
Or maybe it’s because, as they even admitted, they did everything backward – first having and losing a baby, then deciding to date. There’s nothing to look forward to, even if a small amount is willing to give it a shot.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
