Are Fans Buying Will’s Miraculous Return on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)?

The zombie takeover continues on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), as Will is confirmed to be not as dead as previously assumed.

He’s hardly the first person in Salem — he’s not even the first person in his family — to return unharmed from the grave, but are fans buying the where, when, and how of this particular resurrection? Here’s what almost 10,000 had to say.

Par For the Course
Will’s (Chandler Massey) grandma Marlena (Deidre Hall) was once presumed dead. So was his grandpa Roman (Josh Taylor). And step-grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn). And his grandma Kate (Lauren Koslow).

And his uncle Austin and his aunt Billie. And his cousin Georgia. And his great-uncle Bo. And his great-aunt Hope (Kristian Alfonso). And his great-uncle Steve (Stephen Nichols). And… you get the picture. It’s a soap, remind 55% of you. So, sure, Will’s alive. Why not? You’ll allow it.

We Have Our Limits
It’s not like he was being held on an undead island, or something equally reasonable, note 22% of the audience.

Susan (Eileen Davidson) bringing Will back to life and wiping his memories to convince him he’s EJ is more than even you’re willing to swallow.

Plus, it brings up all sorts of weird incestuous connotations that you could have all lived without, thank you very much.

Go With the Flow
But at least it’s fun, cheer a slightly smaller 21%. Where else can you get to watch a mother-in-law avenge her son’s death by kidnapping her daughter-in-law’s dead child and brainwashing him into thinking he’s his own mother’s ex-husband? (Read that sentence again, we’ll wait.)

None of Salem’s back from the dead returns ever have been logical or believable. But they’re emotionally honest and give all the actors great material to play–and viewers some intense drama to watch. That’s all that matters in the end!
