Marlena was barely back from the dead (in this case, a coma, a pulled plug, and a body switch) on Days Of Our Lives before she had to fight Hattie for John.
Hattie claimed that because she and John (Drake Hogysten) exchanged vows while she was pretending to be Marlena (Deidre Hall), they were legally married. And Marlena, being a doctor not a lawyer, went along with it.
Once Hattie was out of the way, Marlena and John finally wed for real. And here comes Diana (Judith Chapman), John’s old flame from his Roman days, who is claiming he fathered her son, the sneaky and snarky Leo (Greg Rikaart). Will Diana be able to drive a wedge between the happy couple? Over 8,000 viewers voted:
No First Rodeo
Marlena has tackled greater foes than Diana – and come out on top, 75% remind. She beat back Kristen (Eileen Davidson/Stacey Haiduk), for God’s sake, and that woman was a DiMera, with more lives than a… DiMera.
Diana and John/Roman were a momentary fling. She could have given birth to his triplets, and that still wouldn’t change how John feels about his Doc.
Truth Telling
Diana can get her foot in the door if John refuses to be honest with Marlena, 15% of the audience worries. Marlena won’t care if John had a child while she was “dead.” Look how warmly she felt about Paul (Christopher Sean)! The problems will only start if John keeps secrets. Marlena hates that.
Under Over
Diana is devious, 12% warn. Kristen may have been bad, but she was crazy. So is Diana… like a fox. She’ll be a lot harder to shake off. John had feelings for her once. There might still be something there. And she’ll make sure to take an inch…and then a mile.
