Days of our Lives star Robert Scott Wilson thrills fans as Ben Weston and has done so on and off since his Salem debut back in 2014. Soap Hub caught up with the beloved star to find out some of his favorite things.

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend, usually?
Hang with friends and play paintball!

What TV show would fans be surprised you never miss?
Well, [when] we had so much time on our hands [back during quarantine], I’ve been open to watch new things. But I think the best show/acting I’ve seen on TV is a show called I Know This Much Is True, on HBO. Mark Ruffalo and the entire cast kill it.

What is your favorite sport to play?
Basketball and football… and paintball of course.

What movie do you never get tired of?
Casino.

What’s your favorite summer activity?
Beach days!

Favorite TV show when you were a kid?
The Sopranos and Nip/Tuck.

What movie star would you love to star opposite of right now – what kind of movie would it be?
Leo Dicaprio and Ana De Armas. A gritty story with a lot of heart.

Did you change your workout routine in the early days of COVID?
Yeah, unfortunately, my workouts [had] been a fraction of what they use to be, but it’s all good! Still try and work out as best I can.

Are you a good cook?
I am. And they actually came from my dad. He was a chef for many years.

What is your specialty?
Stuffed mushrooms.

Most of us are amused – and jealous – of your friendship with William Shatner – did that happen before or after you starred in his film Devil’s Revenge (now available on Amazon)?
During filming. I set up his voicemail on his iPhone, then he liked me.

How do you describe his barbs back and forth with you on Twitter?
He’s a legend, great guy.
