All soap opera couples can expect to go through their ups and downs – just like real-life couples. But we’re betting Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Lani (Sal Stowers) wasn’t expecting her boyfriend, JJ (Casey Moss), to shoot her brother, Theo (Kyler Pettis). That put a crimp in the ‘ol love affair.
So did JJ breaking up with her. For Lani’s sake, of course. Big strong men always know what’s best for delicate, dizzy women (this one is also a cop and carries a gun, but, you know, the ins and outs of love are probably beyond her).
Then again, was JJ ever the guy Lani was supposed to end up with? Papa Abe (James Reynolds) made it clear he had a more appropriate fellow in mind – Eli (Lamon Archey). Do the almost 5,000 DOOL fans who voted in our poll about it agree?
Match Made at… The Salem PD
Yes, yes, yes, enthuse a winning 58%, those two are perfect for each other! JJ never seemed mature enough for Lani, as his incident with Ben and now with Theo made perfectly clear.
Besides, Abe will certainly never accept JJ now.
Eli, on the other hand, is the kind of adult who can charm both father and daughter. Lani has been through so much drama lately, Eli would allow her to take it easy and just enjoy the romance ride.
Pass
No way, no how, counter 31%, those two belong with others. Even if Lani and JJ don’t last the test of time, Eli and Gabi (Camilla Banus) are adorable together, and shouldn’t have to suffer fall out from the Carver family drama.
Just One More Thing
How about a one-night stand, offer a 10% who want to eat their cake and have it, too. It will throw a bone to the Eli/Lani shippers (Elani?), and create drama for Lani and JJ (JLani?). Everybody wins!
