Thanks to that 60th Anniversary preview that dropped late last year, we all know there will soon be a Who Shot EJ story. For months and months, the DiMera has ruthlessly messed with people’s lives. And he hasn’t paid for a second of it. His enemies are getting vocal, and even more than that, they’re getting volatile. That seemed like the case in the Tuesday, March 11 episode of Days of Our Lives.
Biggest Threats to EJ DiMera
Rafe
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has repeatedly manipulated and messed with Rafe (Galen Gering). In addition to holding him captive, he injected him with CRS-17, which now means Rafe can’t remember what EJ did to him the last few months. In Tuesday’s episode, Rafe threatened EJ directly. “It’ll be worth it to do what I should have done to you a long time ago and take this son of a b—h out of his misery.”
Jada
EJ blames Jada (Elia Cantu) for losing his job, so he systematically engineered her downfall. He used Arnold Feniger (also Galen Gering) to paint her as a corrupt cop, which resulted in her suspension. Arnold dumped and humiliated her at their wedding. Completely devastated, she turned to Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and slept with him, and now is keeping that secret from Rafe. Jada has been through a lot. She’s a by-the-book person, but she could go off-book to get revenge on EJ for what he did to Rafe.

Gabi
Of course, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) is a vocal EJ hater and already has held him at gunpoint. She could end up being the red herring here. The one everybody accuses of shooting EJ because she’s too obvious. But she is definitely in the mix of people wanting EJ to pay and knowing justice in the form of jail time will never happen.
Rachel
Mother Rachel (Roslyn Gentle) doesn’t have all her marbles and needs to check into Bayview sooner rather than later. She just sliced up Ava (Tamara Braun) and has leverage over EJ. She’s a menacing woman in white and could very well turn on her daughter’s brother.
Belle
Gabi outed Belle’s (Martha Madison) fling with EJ in the middle of Horton Town Square for all to hear. And she did it in front of Mayor Price as well. Belle’s multiple indiscretions should have gotten her recused from the case, but Paulina’s letting Belle handle things for now. But Belle is embarrassed, she’s livid, and she could be gunning for EJ figuratively and literally.

Kristen
Sure, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and EJ have been turning to each other during Ava and Rafe’s captivity. But they will turn against each other just as easily. EJ is now targeting Kristen’s mother and wants to inject her with the CRS-17. If it happens and Rachel completely loses all the marbles she had left, Kristen might want payback against her brother.
Arnold
Rita (Maggie Carney) says she permanently took care of Arnold, but we haven’t heard how just yet. So, we can’t completely rule out Arnold just yet.
JJ and Shawn
JJ (Casey Moss) is hella protective of Gabi, which could be a strong motive. Meanwhile, Shawn has developed a protective streak for Jada. And he hates EJ for many reasons that have to do with Belle. Who knows, it could happen. Plus, something tells us that we’ll add Johnny (Carson Boatman) to the list sooner rather than later.
