Drake Hogestyn Takes On The Senate In Primetime

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Drake Hogestyn is about to take on primetime in a very un-John-like role.

According to the Jason47 Days Website Facebook page, the popular actor will appear in an episode of Criminal Minds on Wednesday, March 14 at 10pm ET. While Hogestyn tweeted about filming the show a while back, we now know who he will play and what happens on this episode of the CBS show.

When away from the watchful eye of the FBI’s assistant director of national security, Linda Barnes (Kim Rhodes; ex-Cindy Another World), the BAU meets in secret to investigate an UnSub who appears to be kidnapping and photographing young women. Hogestyn will be around to portray Senator Alfred Mayhew.

The DAYS vet is hardly a stranger to primetime. In fact, he was a series regular back in the early 1980s when he played one of the title brothers in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, along with former General Hospital star Richard Dean Anderson (ex-Jeff Webber) and a very young River Phoenix.

However, he’s spent most of his career on Days of Our Lives bringing John Black and his oh-so-many aliases to life.
