Last fall when Dr. Dan’s old buddy, Dr. Fynn, arrived in town, it looked like “Days of Our Lives” had found a playboy replacement for the departing Shawn Christian. The show even toyed with a romance between Fynn and Kayla, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.
Actor Alexander Bruszt came to DAYS in a most interesting way. The heartthrob from down under won the role via a contest in his native Australia. While the role was set for short-term, DAYS liked what they saw so much that it extended his stay. However, it seems the show didn’t like him THAT much, as the actor’s run has come to an end.
With the news that we’ll last see Fynn in late July, Soap Hub asked if you’re sorry to see the actor and character become a part of Salem’s past.
Out of nearly 6,500 votes, 56% percent of you will miss the handsome doctor with the incredibly sexy accent. While he started off as something of a womanizer, we soon learned Fynn has a good heart, and hated seeing that heart break upon realizing Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) would always long for Steve (Stephen Nichols).
Another 39% of you say you won’t miss him at all. You never understood his place in Salem, especially when his one connection–Daniel–was killed. He seemed to roam aimlessly and even get on your nerves at times.
The final 5% don’t even care. While you’re not emotionally invested in the character, you did’t mind him around. Fynn seemed like a nice enough guy and was definitely easy on the eyes. However, you won’t really miss him when he’s gone.
