Carly finds herself manipulated away from her hospital duties by Lawrence but before the frustrated doctor can leave she’s forced to administer aid when Lawrence is injured by a blown-over tree. He tries to lure her into a sexual tryst but she manages to pull away and makes a retreat to the safety of Bo’s sailboat.
John volunteers to assist in fortifying the docks against the abrasive storm but he is injured when the wind causes a pile of sandbags to topple over. Word reaches Isabella, who gets into her car and rushes off to check on her husband.
The rain makes it difficult to see the road and she winds up skidding off the asphalt and onto a pier. The car reaches the end and plunges into the icy Salem river…
The Aftermath: Carly remained unable to deny her feelings for Lawrence and she returned to him despite Bo’s reverent pleas. Jack and Jennifer’s workplace dalliance resulted in the birth of their daughter Abigail who will be diagnosed with aplastic anemia.
Isabella was rescued from her watery tomb and recovered. She and John welcomed their baby boy, Brady Victor, a few months later – and right in the middle of exchanging wedding vows!
