Though she’ll soon be bidding Days of our Lives adieu, actress Precious Way won’t be forgetting her time on the NBC soap – or the very special people that she shared the screen with.
Precious Way Reflects on DAYS Tenure
“I was going to wait to post this,” Way revealed of the photo/video collection depicting her time on the DAYS set, screengrabs of several Chanel centric scenes, a picture of her dressing room door, and a selfie of her with various cast members, “but I’m emotional today.”
The young star’s Instagram message continued: “I’m really going to miss you all & this entire experience. Chanel was my very first tv role. I was scared excited nervous & unbelievably grateful all at the same time. I gained so much respect for everyone I had the absolute pleasure of working with on this show thank you all for being so welcoming & teaching me so much! It was such a pleasure ♥️”
Fellow DAYS performers Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers who play newlyweds Eli and Lani Grant – and, respectively, Chanel’s cousin-in-law and first cousin – both sent heartfelt replies. Archey wrote, “Proud of you. Do ya thing,” while Stowers added, “Shine Beautiful!!!!! 🌟♥️🌟”
Multi-hyphen artist Rolonda Watts, who’ll be starring with Way on the sitcom Partners in Rhyme – starring MC Lyte – was also one of the many commenters on the social media post.
“Starting my acting career, I got to work with vets/pros James (Abe) and your play-mama, Jackée. They were the absolute best and you will grow in wonderful ways from their encouragement, inspiration, support – – and all those great acting tips whispered in your ear! How blessed you are – and me too – cause I get to work with you next! SO proud of you, Precious. YYou are making your way!!”
Way made her DAYS debut on March 25, 2021. Since that time, her character has married Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) under false pretenses, attempted to extort money from her wealthy mother, declared her fluidity, and decided to go into business with galpal Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Upon Way’s departure, the role will recast with daytime TV neophyte Raven Bowens. Bowens resumé includes roles on primetime dramas All Rise and Insecure, the made-for-TV film The Simone Biles Story: Courage to Soar, and the online series Mr. Student Body President – which also starred General Hospital’s Haley Pullos (Molly).
Bowens first airdate is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Salem, check out all the latest that’s been posted on DAYS spoilers.
