Deal With The Devil: Will Kayla’s Betrayal Be Worth It In The End?

Kayla couldn’t just stand by and do nothing to help Steve regain his eyesight on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), but did she completely miscalculate when she made a deal with Stefan?

After all, right now there isn’t anyone in Salem that Steve (Stephen Nichols) hates more than Stefan (Tyler Christopher)  after what he did to take advantage of his niece, Abigail (Marci Miller). Steve feels very protective of her since Jack died.

But Stefan was the one who owned the technology to the bionic eye that Steve needs to see. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) couldn’t just sit by and do nothing. It was fine for Steve to hold onto his principals and pride, but it was killing Kayla to see Steve suffering.

She had to do something! So she entered into a horrible deal with the devil, doing Stefan’s dirty work by spying on Kate (Lauren Koslow), whom he blames for his mother’s supposed death.

The Eyes Have It
After over 4,000 votes were counted, 74% believe that Kayla absolutely did the right thing by making a deal with the dreaded Stefan. Steve was cheated out of his eyesight because of John (Drake Hogestyn) poisoning him and she couldn’t stand to see him suffer for it.

What’s a wife to do? She saw a way to help the man she loves and she went for it. You would have done the same, no matter who it was or who held all the cards. Steve should appreciate her for it.

Deep Betrayal
For the other 26%, you know that this was the one thing Steve didn’t want and you’re afraid Kayla really stepped in it this time. Surely, there was another way to get the technology away from Stefan. Even if there wasn’t, there are principals at work here and Steve will never forgive her for what she’s done.
