Dead Deimos On Days of Our Lives? Yay Or Nay?

We’ve known for months that Vincent Irizarry will be leaving Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and figured that would introduce a murder mystery story involving Deimos leaving in a body bag.

It turns out we were right, and this week Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) ends his reign of terror on Salem after drugging half the town.

Soap Hub asked if you’re happy to see the character gone after he’s inflicted so much pain on so many Salem lives.

Out of about 12,000 votes, 60% of you are thrilled Deimos can never hurt anyone again. You have nothing against the actor at all, but the character was a disaster from the start, involved in one hair-brained scheme after another.

The show tried to humanize him with Nicole (Arianne Zucker), but the pairing never caught on and Deimos became more deranged than ever. It’s time he pay for all he did with his life.

Another 20% of you also want him to stop causing chaos, but thought maybe another stint in jail or a trip out of town would work. You semi understood the chip on his shoulder and wanted him out of Salem, but certainly not dead.

There are still 20% of you who will miss him. Without Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) around, someone had to be involved with every nefarious plot in town and Deimos fit the bill. You’ll miss his piano-playing, his passion, his wit, and his mischievous ways. You say so long, Deimos, with sadness.
