Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Eric Martsolf got the chance of a lifetime to pose with a legend. Well, sort of.
Martsolf was in Dallas with several of his co-stars for a personal appearance, but it gave the actor the chance to be a fan too.
He visited the infamous estate that served as the location for Southfork, the ancestral home of the Ewing clan on the nighttime soap Dallas.
While there, he couldn’t resist getting his picture taken with the legendary JR Ewing, portrayed by the late Larry Hagman.
Of course, Hagman passed away back in 2012, but there was a cardboard cutout of him — and Martsolf couldn’t wait to share the moment to his Instagram account.
The grateful actor wrote, “Dallas. Thank you a great trip, to #southforkranch for allowing me to sip bourbon with a cardboard cutout of JR, and a great event by @starstruckfans2”
Not too long ago Brady seemed to be channeling JR’s ruthlessness, especially when he blackmailed Nicole (Arianne Zucker) into leaving town while drinking, as JR would often do–in turn breaking his stepbrother Eric’s heart.
Brady then became obsessed with becoming CEO of his family company — another JR-like trait. Luckily for fans, Brady seems to be back on the wagon and returning to his heroic side.
Of course, now that Theresa (Jen Lilley) is back on the scene and could be seeing Brady again very soon, who knows what it will do to Brady. Could he end up reverting back to his JR-like ways? Stay tuned to find out.
