Kidnapping is a crime, as is withholding evidence, not to mention poisoning and blackmail. Gwen will definitely go down for at least one of those. Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) loves putting privileged rich people behind bars. But then, 42% of the audience predicts, Gwen will escape and flee the jurisdiction. She’s done it before. She’s a pro.

There’s no escape this time, 32% of the voters counter with their own speculation. Her list of crimes is too big. And her list of sympathetic accomplices is too small. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) have washed their hands of her. And Gwen doesn’t have the resources to go it alone. Are you new here, 26% of viewers wonder as they log their prediction. This is Salem. No one pays for anything. Ever. Doesn’t matter if Xander and Maggie and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) aren’t going to stand up for her anymore. It doesn’t matter that Melinda is salivating at the idea of going back to court.
Murderers are constantly set free around here, so why should a mere kidnapper, poisoner, blackmailer, evidence withholder have to pay a penalty no one else does? The last time Gwen was in trouble, she claimed mental illness. She’ll give that a try. Or whatever else she needs to.
