A majority 59% of the audience doesn’t understand why Kate (Lauren Koslow) is chasing an uninterested Jake (Brandon Barash) when Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) is just hanging around the pub, doing – what’s the word? – nothing. The two were always good together – except when they weren’t – and you’d like to see her give the relationship another shot.

More than half of that number, 26%, figure Kate is too over the hill to go the romantic route – especially with a hottie like Jake. You believe she should just give up the ghost and focus on being a better mom and grandma.

Surely, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) is dying for Mommy’s advice on his love life. And so is granddaughter Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold). Otherwise, those two may seek counsel from Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Kate isn’t too old to know that would be a very, very bad idea.
DAYS Spoilers: Work It Out
Finally, 15% of you suggest that Kate gives up love in all its forms – that means romantic and familial. She just isn’t good at it. You know what Kate is good at? Business. She should get out the power suits and kick it at work, making DiMera a success – and rubbing Jake and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) faces in it. Won’t they be chagrined when Kate makes them even richer!
Well, maybe that’s not the best revenge. But it will prove that Kate still has something going for her, and shouldn’t be put out to pasture quite yet. She isn’t exactly ready to turn into Alice Horton (Frances Reid) and start baking doughnuts.
