Having already gifted her foliage, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) knows that he’s got to step up his gift-giving game where Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) is concerned…but what does one get a once internationally renowned opera singer?
While Philip ponders presents, his rival for Miss Lane’s affections, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), busies himself with a conundrum; is Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) a trustworthy fella?
For a time, Brady was under the impression that he was indeed, but after being reminded precisely how good a judge of character he is, Brady’s beginning to have his doubts.
Maybe Jake isn’t really looking out for the good of the company he and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) work for – and we use the term ‘work’ loosely; when’s the last time they were seen doing any work? Maybe Jake is really out for himself and staging a coup!

Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is in a tight pickle. He confessed to a serious criminal act that he didn’t actually commit, and those silly officers from the Salem Police Department intend to make him pay for said confession. Isn’t that just like those KeyStone Coppers – arresting a wrong’un for the one offense he’s actually innocent of?

Luckily for Xander, he’s got someone looking out for him – pseudo girlfriend Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) — she who is guilty as sin. And what genius idea has this con woman extraordinaire come up with? Why, ask Xander’s relative, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), for his assistance, of course! Wait, what’s that whole shtick about conflict of interest?
DOOL Spoilers: Sitting In a Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has some good news for Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker): she doesn’t have to work with Xander after all. And while she’s thrilled by the development, Nicole’s also pretty melancholy since she can no longer hang with her BFF Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
EJ quickly deduces the reason for his ex-wife’s mood, then throws her for a loop by asking her out for a meal. What self-respecting woman wouldn’t want to dine with the man who slept with her younger sister?
