RADY DAYS SHOCKER (NOT!!!!!): Karma Catches Up to Deimos In A Bloody Way!

Blame it on the perils of shooting six months ahead, but everyone has known for months that Vincent Irizarry was no longer working on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), so news that Deimos gets murdered next week isn’t exactly a shock.

But it will kick-start a huge story, considering most of Salem threatened his life in public at one point or another over the last several months.

According to the July 3 issue of Soap Opera Digest, it all starts with a party at the Martin House, with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) disguised as a waiter, determined to steal the amulet from Sonny (Freddie Smith).

Nearly everyone is there, and Deimos spikes the drinks with Halo 2.0, which causes all sorts of crazy things to happen. Despite people having the spiked brew, several spot Deimos and chaos ensues.

Eventually, the drug wears off and Deimos’s cold dead body is found – when it falls on poor Gabi (Camila Banus). Now the cops have to sober up and switch into professional mode to catch a killer.

DAYS has done a reasonably thorough job in giving everyone in town a motive to want the younger Kiriakis brother dead.

From Adrienne (Judi Evans), to Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), to Gabi — never mind everyone who has done business with him, they have all uttered the words “I want to kill you, Deimos” in front of witnesses.

Considering Irizarry is rumored to be airing through the summer, this murder mystery should be touching just about everyone’s life in Salem. And starting next month – it’s in the capable hands of new head writer Ron Carlivati. Things are getting interesting!
