In the Days of our Lives recap for September 25, 2023, Justin learns a most inconvenient truth courtesy of Victor’s last will and testament.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Vivian continued to hit a brick wall, and Chloe apprised Xander of Sarah’s secret. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Paternity Pickle
At the Horton house, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and Justin (Wally Kurth) anxiously wondered what could have possibly prompted Victor to amend his will. Perhaps it was Bo’s (Peter Reckell) sudden return to the land of the living?
Either way, the two turned their attention to actually opening the document and pouring over its contents. Turns out Victor had been made aware of the “ghastly clerical error” that resulted in his marriage to Vivian (Louise Sorel) remaining legal so, in order to rectify that, and just in case any untoward fate befell him before he could remarry his beloved Maggie, he bequeathed 50% of his entire estate to her.

As for the remaining 50% — not counting the amount set aside for Bo and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and any and all remaining family members, not to mention controlling interest in Titan — that goes to Victor’s son. But, which son? According to the will, it’s neither Bo nor Philip, but rather a “heretofore never acknowledged” son.
Answers came in a letter penned to Victor by Anjelica Deveraux in which she implored him not to claim “little Alexander” as his own!
DAYS Recap: Good Help Is So Hard To Find
Having suffered the indignity of listening to Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) tell her to take her job offer and shove it and having failed to reel him in by invoking Anjelica and Victor’s memory, Vivian bit the proverbial bullet and offered the COO position to Kate (Lauren Koslow) — yes, that Kate. The very same Kate who, upon hearing what Vivian was up to from Philip, had gone over to give her mortal enemy a piece of her mind. To say that Kate turned Vivian down flat would be an understatement.
DOOL Recap: The Truth Will Out
At University Hospital, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was left flummoxed when Xander (Paul Telfer) shared that he and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) would soon be taking off for New York where they’d be wed. Suitably recovered, Sarah relayed that she and Rex (Kyle Lowder) were also getting hitched that day.
Opposite this, Chloe wrestled with what to do. Should she go to Xander and confess she overheard Rex admit that he (Xander) was the father of Sarah’s baby, or should she keep mum and go about her marry way (get it?)?
In the end, despite packing her suitcase and putting on a good show, Chloe couldn’t keep the truth to herself — especially when Xander got all sappy and swore that he’d spend his days proving himself worthy of her love.
