The “Days of Our Lives spoilers” for Tuesday, May 24, reveal a Jennifer-centric episode, laying bare this character’s desperation, as well as the hope for her future that awaits. Read on to find out what lays in store for Jennifer!

Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) has had a tough go of it lately, which this episode reminds both her and us.

The car accident that altered so many lives on New Year’s Eve didn’t spare poor Jennifer Rose. She needed painkillers to cope with the injuries she suffered. Then, she needed them to cope with everything. As addictions go, she began using them constantly and for any purpose. Every area of her life began to suffer.

Soon, the pull of opiate addiction, including horrific withdrawal symptoms, overtook Jennifer’s life. Denial set it, also par for the awful course in drug addiction.

On Tuesday, she reaches out to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) in a desperate cry for help. Jennifer then has Christmas Carol-like visions of what might befall her children should her addiction take her life.

But, her psyche also gives her hope in the form of true love, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). He tells her she can live without the pills, and hopefully, she’ll believe him so she can begin her life anew.
