Several of your favorite Days of our Lives stars wanted to do something to help people during this stressful and uncertain coronavirus pandemic so they decided to create a website called Daytime Cares.
Days of our Lives Stars Care
The idea behind it, according to the site itself, is to shine a light forward. “COVID-19 is a reality we never thought we’d be living through,” begins Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel), in the video featured front and center.
But other actors also bring attention to the new endeavor on their personal social media. Christian’s lady love, Arianne Zucker (Nicole), shared her video intro about the new site on her Instagram account. “Giving back where we can, all while staying home and staying safe!”
She tagged her fellow co-stars who are involved. In addition to Christian, there’s Eric Martsolf (Brady), Sal Stowers (Lani), Kyle Lowder (Rex), and Stacy Haiduk (Kristen).
Their Mission Statement
The website has various sections, including videos, how to donate or volunteer, as well as the founding team, which includes Zucker as their spokesperson. The “about” page reveals the following about why this group has gathered and what they hope to accomplish.
“Daytime Cares is a collective of TV and Film actors and actresses who are using their celebrity and influence to assist the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. The companion website Daytimecares.com seeks to be a leading partner for charitable giving, whether in the form of financial contributions to reputable charities, donating blood, volunteering or providing other material assistance such as personal protective equipment to the healthcare community and others most at risk.”
