Days of our Lives Star Vanessa Williams In New Jordan Peele Film Candyman

It’s been great to see Vanessa Williams back in Salem thanks to Eli’s busted wedding to Gabi on Days of our Lives, but it looks like fans are going to get to see even more of the actress on the big screen! She’s going to be a part of the new Jordan Peele film, Candyman, and now you can see the trailer.

Peele is known for writing and directing huge big-screen hits like Get Out and Us, but he will just be producing this horror film, described on the IMDB as a “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 flick Candyman that returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.

Williams will be playing the character of Anne-Marie McCoy, who from the trailer below, seems to be the only smart person in the film not tempting the lead character to return and kill them. As legend has it, if you say Candyman five times while looking in a mirror, you won’t last very long.

You’ll have to watch the thriller when it comes to theaters in June to see if she survives. But you can definitely check out the new trailer below to get a (scary) feel for what’s in store.

Life In Salem

Meanwhile, the actress may not be in Salem much longer but she certainly had an impact during this quick visit! Valerie worked with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) to get Eli (Lamon Archey) to see the light and stop blaming Lani (Sal Stowers) for what Gabi (Camila Banus) did, pushing him to reunite with the woman he truly loves.

It worked! The two reunited earlier this week and now it looks like all is right in Eli’s world. And if everything is good for Eli, then surely his mother will feel better about returning to her job. Which is a shame for Abe (James Reynolds). Here’s hoping we get to see another scene between these two before she leaves. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
