On Days of our Lives, Kayla may have had her heart ripped out by the man she’s loved for over 30 years, but in real life, her portrayer, Mary Beth Evans, who has been with her husband Dr. Michael Schwartz for almost 35 years, is still very happy and now she’s found something for him she’s been searching years for — and she’s sharing it with you.

As people are staying safe at home during this coronavirus pandemic, many have turned to baking, and Evans is no different. But one particular recipe has always eluded her but now she’s thrilled to have found it.

“My husband’s favorite cookie is oatmeal. He always gives me a hard time since, even after all these years, I never make them for him. I am a chocolate chip cookie wizard, but I’ve never really perfected the oatmeal until my friend Cynthia gave me this great recipe,” she revealed alongside an image of the gorgeous end result!
