Days Of Our Lives Star Linsey Godfrey Celebrates Birthday

Sarah Horton may be kicking herself for marrying Rex instead of fighting for his half-brother Eric but actress Linsey Godfrey certainly has a reason to celebrate. That’s because she was born on July 25, 1988, in Stuart, Florida, meaning she’s turning 31 years old today!

Godfrey is an outspoken advocate for women’s right who went public earlier this year about her decision to terminate a pregnancy in protest against the newest law’s past in multiple states concerning the window of opportunity afforded women to have an abortion.

Godfrey was discovered by a talent manager at a state theater competition and one year later she was appearing as a guest star on series including One Tree Hill and Cold Case. In 2006, she had a recurring role on the SyFy drama Surface.

However, a Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis caused the budding actress to step back from the limelight to undergo treatment.

Two years later, upon returning to Hollywood, Godfrey was back in the thick of it and soon found herself hired at the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. She was a contract player there from March 2012 to October 2016 and recurred between December 2016 and March 2018.

In October of 2018, Godfrey joined the cast of the NBC soap Days of Our Lives as Sarah Horton, a legacy character who had been long forgotten (having last appeared in 1991). She was even able to snag the 2019 nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her DAYS role.
