Kate Roberts’s life on Days of our Lives may be going to the dogs, or rather she will certainly be in the doghouse when the full scope of her betrayal is known to her friends. But the actress who portrays her, Lauren Koslow, probably wouldn’t mind that particular banishment so much.

If you’re a fan of the actress, you probably already knew of her love for animals but for her Tuesday social media post, she made her feelings on the subject crystal clear — and we adore her for it.

Koslow points out the importance of adopting dogs, especially pit bulls, which in California make up much of the shelter population (along with Chihuahuas) and how much better they can make life for the family who has them.
While having any dog is awesome and is to be applauded, knowing you’ve saved their life from the shelter system can add to that joy.

Meanwhile, on DAYS, Kate has also saved a life — namely stupid Rafe (Galen Gering), who actually fell for Gina’s (Kristian Alfonso) ruse that she had hit her head and turned back into Hope. Oh, Rafe, how could you?! Lucky for him, Kate was around to grab the knife out of Gina’s homicidal hand.
But will everyone remain grateful once they realize how long she knew Steve (Stephen Nichols) was really Stefano and Hope had turned into Gina — without saying a word to anyone?
