Appearances by Judi Evans on Days of Our Lives are few and far between despite a loyal fan base who would love to see her more. But Evans certainly has a reason to celebrate.
That’s because she was born on July 12, 1964, in Montebello, California, meaning that she is turning 55 years old today! Unlike some actresses who fell into acting by accident or found heir talent through school theatrics, Evans was literally performing since birth.
Evans’ mother and father were talented trapeze artists and her brothers were jugglers whose act was featured in a traveling circus. Evans fulfilled the role of “baby clown.” And that on the job training certainly paid off for Evans as she grew older and decided to try her hand at “real” acting.
Evans first on-camera role was on Guiding Light where she played the sweet but fragile abuse victim Beth Rains. Beth survived a violent rape by her step-father Bradley and found love (and supercouple status) with Grant Alexander’s Phillip Spalding.

In 1986, Evans relocated to the west coast where she joined the cast of NBC’s Days of Our Lives. Evans new character Adrienne Johnson smacked of her previous role especially when Adrienne became a victim of rape and was paired in a popular coupling with Wally Kurth’s Justin.
Wanting some variety in her characters, Evans returned to New York and took on the role of Another World’s Paulina Cantrell (Cory). As Paulina, Evans was thrust into a major storyline where she was forced to marry a man that she admitted to shooting in the back. Evans stayed with Another World until it was canceled in 1999.
Evans returned to DAYS in a brand new role in 2003 as con woman (and Adrienne lookalike) Bonnie Lockhart. A role on As the World Turns followed in 2009.
Evans also stared in some major television movies and an adult film that confronted the issue of human trafficking. That film, I Am Not For Sale, co-stared Evans real-life son Austin Michael.
