Greg Vaughan, who vacated his role of Eric Brady on Days of our Lives last fall, hasn’t been shy about keeping his fans up to date on what’s happening in his life. For instance, on Instagram, the actor sent a birthday wish to his son, Cavan.
Sweet Words From Greg Vaughan
“Happiest of HAPPY 11th Birthday Cavan,” Vaughan wrote. “As we all know this year has been a year of adventure, challenges & change! With every obstacle you’ve endured, I am humbled by your grace & the warmth of your incredible smile! You are my HEART of GOLD! I love you far more than you will ever know.”
The actor also included a collection of photos of Cavan with his family and the “Brady Bunch” Vaughan shares with his fiancée, actress Angie Harmon.
Recently, Vaughan also shared some good news about the OWN TV show Queen Sugar, which he has recurred on during its five-year run as Calvin. “Let’s Go,” he wrote, next to a story about the show landing a Season 6 pickup.
On the show, Calvin is a married police officer and Nova Bordelon’s (Rutina Wesley) longtime secret lover. Here’s hoping we see more of Vaughan’s character in the new season.
Of course, DAYS fans would love nothing more than to see the actor return to Salem, and since Queen Sugar only produces around 13 episodes a season—and he’s not on every ep—that’s still a possibility for 2021.
Even though it was Vaughan’s decision to leave, the writers wrote Eric out in a way that would make it very easy for a return visit. After all, he simply went off to the Congo to help residents following a string of misfortunate events. There’s nothing that would stop him from fulfilling his mission and taking up permanent residence in Salem again. Nicole and Sami could sure use him about now! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
