Catching a flight at the airport almost always involves the necessary inconvenience that is a TSA check to make sure flights remain safe, but former Days of Our Lives star Gilles Marini’s recent airport experience left him feeling violated and angered.
“Went through the @TSA this morning #Jfk and I never had such a bad experience. Literally asking the man to stop rubbing you know what. Giving stupid excuses. Wtf world we live in?Ps: and I do know the difference between looking for something and touching someone. Pretty pissed,” the actor tweeted on Sunday.
He added: “I never complain but that was so unprofessional, weird and not call for at all. Asking him ‘please can you stop touching me sir’ clearly they have the right to rub you there.”
Because Marini tagged the Transportation Safety Authority, its official Twitter account responded with: “We take your concerns seriously, Gilles. Pls DM your email address so we can gather more details.”
JFK Airport in New York City also had a response: “Good afternoon Gilles, please accept our sincerest apology for your bad experience at @AskTSA this morning. We expect every passenger to be treated professionally and with respect. You can file a formal complaint at this link.” JFK then tweeted a link to a complaint center, which can be found here.
Fans and followers were also horrified to read what Gilles Marini had gone through and sent words of sympathy and support. You can see all of the actor’s tweets on the incident below. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
