Days of our Lives Star Emily O’Brien Previews Her New Film

Emily O’Brien has gained quite the following considering her character Gwen Rizczech has certainly caused some waves in Salem since coming to town a little more than a year ago, and her Days of our Lives story is heating up as she finds herself in over her head with Dr. Snyder. But the actress has something else brewing away from the NBC soap that you will want to see.

Emily O’Brien Reveals New Trailer

While fans are enjoying the three-time Daytime Emmy Award-nominated (all for playing Jana Hawkes Fisher on The Young and the Restless from 2006–2011) star’s work on DAYS, the English actress has another project that shows a different side of her. O’Brien took to her social media to preview her new upcoming film, Glint.

“Quite proud of this one!” she posted on Instagram. “Directed by Grant Janes & currently in the festival circuit. Such a joy to have worked with this group of creatives. Coming soon!”

The actress posted a short trailer for the film, which shows what happens when a struggling, single parent is confronted with the onset of a bizarre mental illness, and she must decide if she is losing her mind or if her visions portend a deeper meaning.

O’Brien plays Francine, the single parent in question, and the film seems to offer some great dramatic moments. During the trailer, the words, “Somewhere between the shadow and the light between what we are told and what we perceive is the place where we finally start to see” are interspersed on storyboards throughout certain scenes.

Written by Tonya Agurto and Janes, and shot during the pandemic, the film also stars Ava Castro, James Eddie, and James Bartz. Some of her DAYS co-stars are among those looking forward to seeing the film.

Brandon Barash (Stefan) replied to her post with an enthusiastic, “Can’t wait to see this!” And Paul Telfer (Xander) replied, “Looks great Emily!” Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
