A healthy and happy Will Horton is (finally) enjoying some tranquility with his husband Sonny and now actor Chandler Massey has another reason to celebrate.
That’s because he was born on September 10, 1990, in Atlanta Georgia, which means that this talented young performer is turning 29 years old today! Massey was bitten by the acting bug at an early age after appearing in his fifth-grade class production of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
When he entered Northcross High School, Massey joined the drama club and played the lead role in many of their plays, including Little Shop of Horrors, Guys, and Dolls, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
In 2009, Massey moved to the West Coast where he enrolled in the University of California at Los Angeles. While concentrating on his studies, Massey also continued to pursue his acting career. He made guest appearances on One Tree Hill, Eastbound & Down, and Army Wives the same year he entered college.
After completing his first semester at UCLA, Massey was cast in the role of Will Horton on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. He made his debut in 2010 and played the part until 2014. During his tenure, Massey steered the character through a major storyline that saw Will come out as a homosexual.
For his work on the series, Massey was nominated for four consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards and he won the statuette for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series thrice (2012, 2013 and 2014).
Not only did Massey make history by winning the award three times in a row but he is also the first actor to win a Daytime Emmy for playing a person representing the LGBTQ community.
Sop Hub would like to wish Chandler Massey a very happy birthday and you can too by clicking on the twitter link below. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
