On Days of Our Lives, Nicole Walker has a little girl, Holly, and is raising her without a nanny — we think. However, her portrayer, Arianne Zucker, gets involved in some danger with a caretaker in the upcoming Lifetime movie Nanny Danger.
Arianne Zucker: New Project
“So there this nanny and there’s…danger,” Zucker recently chuckled to TV Insider about the upcoming movie. “It’s a fabulous Lifetime thriller. I play the mom.”
The film’s title implies that Zucker’s character employs a nanny who may be dangerous — or not. “There’s an extra twist in this one that’s really cool,” teases the actress. “The director, Gigi Gaston, is a former Olympian, who competed in hunting and jumping. I decided I’m totally going to be a fan on the set. She was incredible to work with and we established a nice relationship.”
Other cast members will look familiar to daytime fans. Coby Ryan McLaughlin (ex-Shiloh, General Hospital) plays Zucker’s husband. The film also stars GH’s Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte).
“I saw some of [Coby’s] work on GH,” Zucker shares. “He was really good. We got a scene in the movie where we ad-libbed a little bit. He was really fun to work with.”
Is it a coincidence that Lifetime reaches out to daytime stars for its movies. It may be more than just wanting to lure audiences in with the talent’s star appeal.
“We have to work quickly in the [Lifetime movie world], as well,” Zucker notes. “They don’t have as much dialogue as we do in daytime, but the scripts are dialogue-heavy. You have to know what you’re saying and what you’re doing. You’re also on location where you have to move quickly. They want people in there who know where to stand and where their light is.”
No word yet on an air date, but Soap Hub will keep readers updated on when Nanny Danger will premiere. In the meantime, Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
